Braille Transcription

Hello

In case anyone on the group wants printed material transcribed into braille, below you will see an address given to me by a friend and she has used this service, there is a charge, guess it's worked out by how much one needs to have transcribed. Anyway just in case any of you or friends would like the address, it is,

Always useful to have addresses for Braille transcription services like this, given how most of us would not be familiar with such outlets.

 

BTW: I think your Braille input device might have slightly discombobulated the postcode for HMP Gartree, which I believe beyond reasonable doubt should be as follows:

 

LE16 7RP

Yes, writing in braille for emails tends to give such problems.  The number of times I receive Committee minutes Etc. and have to correct such errors.  For instance if they use the sign for "good" which is "gd" as Chris's name, it comes out as "gde" so, I think the best way is to use grade 1 then we don't have these errors.

 

Mind you, I remember when we used Braille'n'Speak 2000, writing in grade 2 braille sometimes led to such problems when translated for printing or as emails, but this was usually sorted by inserting a code around the possible place of error, can't now remember the code but still have the B&S machine which is working after must now be some 30 years!
