?Yesterday morning I wrote an e-mail to a friend called Carolyn.
I sent the e-mail before noon, and did not keep a copy on my
computer as it was a one-off.

During the afternoon I sent and received e-mails as normal.

In the evening I sent an e-mail to an internet radio station.
They didn't acknowledge it, and, after the programme had
finished, I received an e-mail from the server saying that I had
sent the e-mail to an incorrect address. This was not true. I
decided to ignore it as the programme had finished.

This morning I got an e-mail from the radio station to say they
had received an e-mail from me, but it contained the text of my
e-mail to Carolyn, not what I had written to the station. This
is very odd, as Carolyn's address is in my e-mail list, so I only
have to type her name, which I did in the morning. The address
for the radio station was typed manually in the evening. So,
the text of my e-mail to Carolyn must have been on the server
during the afternoon, and in the evening it was picked up and
sent to the radio station. I cannot find any logical reason as
to why this happened.

This morning I have been waiting for a phone call from the
keyboard man, whose landline number I don't know. So, when I
came back from the shop and found a landline number in my phone,
I returned the call, using the automatic dialling feature. When
the man picked up the phone he said I was the eighth person who
had rung him this morning saying he had rung, and he has actually
made no phone calls. So, someone abroad has hacked into his
number and is using it to by-pass call blocking facilities in
this country. This man was not the keyboard man, but a complete
stranger to me. We had a chat about the situation, and as well
as me having worked for BT, he used to work for Cable and
Wireless, so we had something in common.

Keep well.

Peter

Greetings,

Peter, still going through my somewhat long load of emails as a result of my
reinstallation of the email client and I found this from you.

I am curious to know, did you ever manage to sort the problem out and how
and what was the final result?

Please leave your message as dealing with such a vast number, when, if, I
receive this one, unless you leave the original, I won't have any idea
concerning what happpened.
