Birthdays.
Colin Howard
We have two birthdays, Clare Bagot today and Chris Biles next Monday.
They are the same age, I am sure we hope both enjoy some kind of celebration
on their respective days.
I am aware Clare plans to be going out with a friend, who had her birthday
yesterday, Chris, maybe you might care to advise of any plans.
I am sure we all thank Clare for her assistance at various AVIP events over
the last few years, of particular rememberance for me, is when at Cardiff on
the Sunday morning, a group of us visited a park to give the dogs a run
before the afternoon a g m. A couple of the dogs proved to have a will of
their own and took off, Clare, plus I can't remember who else, managed,
after considerable effort, to bring the offenders to their users. She said
she didn't think dogs would behave in this way, the users blew their dog
whistles which initially, the dogs ignored. I suspect what happened is one
dog took off and being basically pack animals, the others simply followed.
We then had something to eat and drink which caused us to be late for the
afternoon meeting by some twenty minutes!

I think the best way of addressing your question about how goes my birthday, is to tell you about things once the main part of the day has passed, not least as most of my plans for that day have yet to take shape. Quite simple really, but thanks for the sentiments all the same.
I think Clare is one of 3 people I know who are celebrating their birthday today, and with whom I'm in intermittent contact. I won't indulge in any name-dropping of people who have nothing to do with this association, except to say the other two individuals I have in mind are both female and visually impaired.
Anyway as far as Clare is concerned, it is my sincere hope that I will get the chance to have a catch up with you when a few of us meet at a pub just outside Fareham this weekend.
