Carlisle Weekend Staying Extra Night?

If We get enough people to attend the weekend In Carlisle, at the end of the weekend I will be celebrating a milestone Birthday.  Yes, I will be 3 score years and 10.  (who would have thought that I would live that long) (Smile)

 

When we were talking on one of the Friday Night Interlinking sessions, I said “That I did not fancy travelling home from Carlisle on my Birthday.”

 

Therefore it was suggested that some of us stay an extra night and go for a meal in Carlisle.

 

 

Obviously first of all, most importantly we need to get enough members to attend the weekend otherwise it will not happen at all!!!!!

Please make your payment to Good Connections of £50 for your deposit if possible by today, Friday November 28, but no later than Friday December 5, 2025.

 

Regarding the cost and payment for the extra night’s stay, Chris discussed this with the hotel and it was agreed that they would charge £109 for a twin or double room which would be £54.50 per person.  This was calculated because that was the cost on the website at the time when we made the booking.  This is only for bed and breakfast.

 

Chris is going to discuss with the hotel how much they will charge for a single room because it will not be a group booking.

 

If you would like to stay the extra night, Chris would prefer you to make the extra payment yourself as this would make matters less complicated, but Chris would make the payment for you if you would prefer

 

.  What we suggest is that you make the extra payment when you arrive at the hotel with the reference Stephenson party.

 

However, please let Chris Good know if you are staying the extra night, so that the room will be reserved for you.

So far 2 twin rooms and 1 double room have been reserved.

 

We have not made any specific plans for the Monday.

 

We will decide where to go for a meal, depending upon how many people want to go and what they would prefer to eat.

 

I hope that enough people attend the weekend and I look forward to celebrating my Birthday.
