Income:
32 families $40 each = $1280
1 forced bachelor (family is on vacation) = $20
Collected $10 each from 30 families that attended = $300
Total = $1600

Expenditure:
Party hall - $310.00
Microphone System - $50.00
Caterers (TOI) - $990.00
Paper products etc - $102.00
Refunded to two absentees - $80
Total = $1532

Surplus/deficit:
We have a surplus of $68 ($1600 - $1532). We were thinking of refunding to people who had spent money out of their pockets on miscellaneous items but I didn't get a response to my email except for one person. So this will be carried forward to our next party.
