I recently read an article from “The Economic Times” – India, dated
November 26, 2009, requiring tremendous skilled workers for the
Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling (MRO) facilities that
will be established by large aircraft manufacturers and airline
companies. Boeing, Airbus, Lufthansa Technik, SR Technics, Malaysian
Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and TIMCO preferred to set-up in India
due to its strategic location and low labor costs compared to other
countries. This promising trend in India’s Aviation Industry would
create around 600,000 new jobs from the year 2009 to 2015.

The MRO requirement for man labor consists of Aircraft Maintenance
Engineers, Avionics Technicians, Aeronautical Engineers, IT Engineers,
Electronics Engineers, and other skilled professions in the aviation
industry. MRO facilities serves as maintenance hub for transport
category airplanes used for airlines and cargo companies for their
continuous maintenance programs, alterations, repairs, and overhauling.
