Announcing new Aviary features!

We recently released three features that we’re excited to announce: 

Media Staging – a new option for importing media files to Aviary resources! Media Staging allows users to upload media files from a variety of sources including local storage, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Box. With Media Staging, users can import up to five media files at a time, stage files in the Media Staging table, and assign staged media files to Aviary resources. See the updated Bulk Importing documentation for more information. 

Amazon Transcribe – providing additional languages for automated transcripts. Amazon Transcribe supports over 100 languages, including many languages that were not previously available for transcription in Aviary. Now organizations can choose Amazon Transcribe from Aviary’s list of automated transcription services and generate speech-to-text transcripts for resources in a wide variety of languages. Review the Automated Metadata documentation for details. 

Search menus in organization headers – offering users more ways to search resources. Aviary organizations can now display resource search menus in the About and Collections page headers. To enable the new resource search menus, open the Organization tab in the admin menu, click Theme, and check the “Enable resource site search in header” checkbox.
