Each room is named for a British author. I walked around and caught a few like A.A. Milne, Ian Fleming, Robert Louis Stevenson, Evelyn Waugh, and William Shakespeare. We stayed in the Agatha Christie Death on the Nile Suite!
My better half does not know that he might be responsible for creating an anniversary tradition. I want to see all of the themed rooms. It was an extravagance for us but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
National Nutrition Month, which occurs every March, is a nutrition education and information campaign supported yearly by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. National Nutrition Month started in 1973 as National Nutrition Week. Over time, the focus on health and nutrition started to flourish, and in 1980, it became a month-long observance.
Could you think of the various ways we eat? Around a dinner table? On the go? Half of our meals are eaten at school or work. You get even more food variety at sporting events, gatherings, and restaurants.
This theme also embraces sustainability: bringing ways to reduce food waste in any environment.
At Cheshire Medical Center, some of our leftover meals are donated to the local shelter to avoid waste. Click here to read about this initiative in our 2020-2021 Report to the Community.
Over the past few years at Cheshire, we have started the month with fresh fruit, bargains in the cafeteria for produce, incorporating more ethnic cuisines, and collecting donations for the Community Kitchen in Keene.

Brilliant day. Loads to do, well equipped to cater for young and older kids. Staff attentive and covered all aspects of keeping the day running smoothly. We both enjoyed it, even with our 53-year age gap. Grandson thought it was awesome. High praise indeed.
Had a fun day out with my partner. We went as adults, you can have fun time here without children. We were being big kids. We went on everything we were allowed on. The price for adults seems reasonable. We went on a Saturday, it was fairly busy, a lot of children as you would expect.

Sunshine is a 1975 American television comedy-drama series starring Cliff DeYoung and Elizabeth Cheshire, about a hippie musician raising his young daughter alone after the death of his wife. The series was based on the 1973 made-for-TV movie Sunshine and DeYoung, Bill Mumy, Corey Fischer, and Meg Foster all reprised their roles from the film.[1][2] The series originally ran for 13 episodes on NBC in the spring of 1975. The show's opening theme was John Denver's hit song "Sunshine on My Shoulders."
Three years after the death of his wife Kate (which occurred at the end of the 1973 Sunshine film), musician Sam Hayden (Cliff DeYoung) is raising their young daughter Jill (Elizabeth Cheshire) as a single father. Sam struggles to make ends meet by playing in a folk rock trio with Weaver (Bill Mumy) and Givits (Corey Fischer) and by doing various day jobs. Although Sam's responsibilities leave little time for him to date women, he hopes to find one he can love who will also be a good mother to Jill. Meanwhile, Weaver, Givits, and Sam's occasional girlfriend Nora (Meg Foster) pitch in to help Sam care for Jill.
Although the series drew praise from critics for its quality and realism,[2][3][4] its timeslot forced it to compete for young viewers with the popular CBS series The Waltons, and older viewers were not interested in watching a show about a hippie.[4] A Chicago Tribune reviewer also blamed the series' failure on its portrayal of daughter Jill as an ill-mannered "pest".[5] Sunshine performed poorly in the Nielsen ratings[6] and was cancelled after 13 episodes.[4][5]
After its cancellation, the series was described as being "before its time"[4] and "one of the most interesting failures" of the season.[5] Five episodes of Sunshine were later combined into a feature-length movie called My Sweet Lady which was widely circulated in England, Japan and Australia, resulting in the characters becoming better known in those countries than they were in the United States.[4]
In 1977, NBC took the unusual step of reuniting the original cast of the cancelled series for a two-hour holiday television film, Sunshine Christmas, which the network first aired on December 12, 1977. In the movie, Sam and Jill return to his native Texas to visit Sam's parents, and Sam rekindles a romance with his high school sweetheart.[4]
My name is Leah Taylor-Jones, and I spent majority of my childhood in Widnes, Cheshire. I work as an administrative assistant for Ella Performance Group. I also run my own company, Positive You, with the help of my PA, Jade French.
The church is stunning, and we adore the stained glass windows depicting characters from Alice in Wonderland. Following the ceremony we had a tea party reception in a marquee at the family home. The marquee was beautifully decorated with the Alice in Wonderland theme.
All the guests that attended our Alice in Wonderland theme wedding were family and friends. We had 40 guests in total, including four bridesmaids, four ushers, one best man and three beautiful flower girls.
Andrew wore a blue sharkskin suit with a two-tone waistcoat, a pink tie, and brown shoes from Moss Bros. He looked very smart. My wedding gown was a blush wide knee-length gown with lace on top that I purchased from Paris Bridal in Widnes. I loved my dress.
The ushers were all dressed in matching blue suits with different coloured ties and brown shoes. Bridesmaids wore silver gowns and sequined tops. The flower girls wore lovely pink and white dresses and they were carrying pink petals and flower bouquets, which was a lovely touch.
There was a special moment during the ceremony in the church when Andrew had a tear fall from his eye. He had to wipe it away with his handkerchief. It was a heartfelt moment that was caught by our photographer.
My advice to anyone planning a wedding. It takes time and patience to plan the perfect wedding, but it is well worth it when you are marrying the love of your life. Plan, take your time and book an amazing photographer.
After struggling with her self esteem and confidence in her younger years, Leah, with the help of her PA, decided to set up an arts programme for people with disabilities to feel more confident She now runs the non-profit company, Positive You, which supports people across the UK.
From the moment Leah was born her dad and I took the attitude that she would have access to everything her brothers had so having a relationship was exactly what we always wanted for her because she wanted it for herself.
On the wedding day, music played a big part too, with Andrew recording a version of his favourite song, Beautiful In White by Westlife, which was played as they left the church, while Leah walked down the aisle to A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.

The park opened in 1983 and was operating seasonally until the end of 2012. The attraction was based on the story of 'Camelot, King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table' - thanks to the legend that Sir Lancelot's parents escaped from France to the area and the knight was raised by the nymph Vivian who had taken him into Martin Mere lake as a baby.
The theme park was purchased by Story Group, a construction company based in Carlisle and leased to Knight's Leisure who ran it until it closed suddenly in 2012 blaming bad weather, the London 2012 Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee for declining visitor numbers.
In August 2014, an application to build 420 houses on the site by owners Story Group was unanimously rejected by Chorley Council, with 261 public objections, as the development was not permissible within the Green Belt.
