Hello -- Again -- Opera Fans,
I forgot to emphasize that we have enough
tickets for you to bring along a friend -- or friends. While I was
chatting with Nancy Goldcamp, she offered a great suggestion: Use this
opportunity to invite someone you would like to see become a Village member !
Pasquale Esposito is an up-and-coming tenor in the style of Enrico Caruso (http://www.italianmusicman.com). If you have never heard him, you need to! Here’s your chance.
Nancy Goldcamp, a great friend of the Village, has 16 to 20 tickets to gift to a Village member (and friends) for a performance at Nourse Auditorium on Sunday, October 18, at 7:30 PM. Seat value is $85.00 each – but these are totally complimentary!
I plan to go. I also plan to drive, and can take three others with me. Nourse Auditorium is across the street from Davies Hall, in a neighborhood of fine and fun restaurants, so I plan to go early and have supper in the area.
Depending on how many of you are interested, there’s a bus arranged by someone in Los Gatos, for a round trip – with stops in Atherton, going and coming. I don't know the cost per person, but will get all info if you’re interested.
The group with the bus is also planning an early dinner at a fine Italian restaurant in San Carlos on the way to the City. I believe the arranger of this will get a prix fixe menu for a good deal because it's early dining. I’ll be happy to get contact info and more details from the other group if you wish to connect. And, of course, I could be persuaded to join you!
Cheers,
Dick
