சொல்லக விளக்கது சோதி யுள்ளது 

பல்லக விளக்கது பலருங் காண்பது 

நல்லக விளக்கது நமச்சிவாயவே

Sollaga  Vilakathu  Sothi Yulathu

Pallaga  Vilakathu Palarung Kaanpathu

Nallaga  Vilakathu Namachivayave

 

The lamp lit inside a house removes darkness 

It is praised as the inner lamp which is ever radiant

It is the lamp which resides in hearts of devotees and reliazed by them

It is the internal lamp which does good to us and guide us

Verily that lamp is is Namachivaya Indeed
