கற்பிளவோடு ஒப்பர் கயவர் கடுஞ்சினத்துப்

பொற்பிளவோடு ஒப்பாரும் போல்வாரே விற்பிடித்து 

நீர் கிழிய எய்த வடுப்போல மாறுமே 

சீர் ஒழுகு சான்றோர் சினம்

A degenerate person's extreme anger causes a split as in a slab of rock. (It does not heal.) It is comparable to split-up with a woman. The anger of a noble person causes a split comparable to the split caused by the arrow shot in the water. (The split in the water heals.)
