I have an immediate opening for a Q.A. Tester in Tulsa, OK. , phone interview 1^st, then a face-to-face interview 2^ND. 

 

Initial contract 3 months, but manager said it will last 2-3 years. 

 

 

Job Description:

Develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. The technical skills include the ability to design software or customize software for client use

Education/Experience
o Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required
o 5-7 years experience required

Responsibility level
o Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor or may have supervisory responsibility with few reports

Skills
o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
o Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required)
o Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. (Required)
o Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
o Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology (Required)
o Knowledge of computer development software, such as Microsoft Visual Basic, Linux, JavaScript, etc (Required)

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
o Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
o Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
o Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
o Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
o Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
o Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
o Create or maintain databases of known test defects
o Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates

Job Description
Responsible for developing and testing software systems and integrations with existing and commercial software systems. Knowledgeable in design and development of software systems with extensive experience in software and system testing. Ensuring systems meet design specifications for new and existing applications. Focuses primarily on testing software systems, developing application integration mechanisms, document test plans and results, and document requirements for: data, workflow, logical processes, and interfaces with other systems. Serves as team member in the integration of solutions, construction of applications, testing software systems, development of new business opportunities, and building of relationships with clients.

Qualifications:
Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience in systems testing and development in a variety of computing architectures and environments. Thorough understanding of software development life cycles, development and technology tools, testing methodologies, and requirements gathering.

Must have strong technical expertise in the J2EE environment, UNIX, Linux, Windows, MQ Series, UML, Tiered architecture, Relational Databases, Web development, and object-oriented methodologies Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required. Requires 5+ years of experience in IT with a minimum of two years in application systems testing
