Running transmission-daemon Version: 1.51-0ubuntu3
(XBMC 9.04 live/ubuntu)

The new update appears not to work with transmission-daemon.

Extension always returns "Invalid response received from server" and
fails to contact daemon.

Try killing the daemon and restarting it. It did it for me.

Hmm. I rebooted the daemon machine but it didn't help. Then I rolled
back the plugin to 2.5, and *still* I have the same problem. Then I
rebooted the client machine, with 2.5 installed, and it is still
erroring the exact same way.

Well, perhaps you should consider updating your daemon. I mean, they're
preparing 1.92 for release these days, so it's high time to let 1.5x die.

What I find most unfortunate is that even after rollback the same
drivers/microcode/something is active from the 3.0 update. Apparently
firefox is loosely adhering to the concept of version control.

Regardless, 3.0 has compatibility issues.

Hermes,

I am sorry that you are experiencing this behavior.
If you rolled back the addon to version 2.5 (and made sure all the
daemon settings were set correctly in the preferences window), then
this problem appears to be with your daemon. There would be
absolutely NO drivers/microcode/something from 3.0 still active if the
addon was set to version 2.5.
I have a few questions:

(NOTE ****** I will be removing the logging of passwords in the
next update, that was debugging code that I left in accidentally)

1. It looks like you are using a username/password for your daemon.
Are they correctly indicated in the log?
2. When you click the Autotrans icon in the status bar does it take
you to the Transmission Web UI?
3. If not, could you send me your logs (with passwords removed) for
when you send a torrent and for when you click the icon?

Hermes (and Nathan),

I didn't see that above you are using transmission-daemon 1.5x. The
plugin won't work with such an old version as it requires some of the
newer features. You should upgrade to 1.92.

cheers

Unfortunately, I am not running transmission, but transmission-daemon.
Per your suggestion I upgraded daemon, but that ended up breaking
Autotrans for *all* my PCs. Both versions 2.5 and 3.0 are
nonfunctional with the same debug report as above.

It was nice while it lasted though!

Here's what: uninstall everything, and start clean, meaning no daemon,
no Autotrans, nuffink. There must be some leftovers on your hard
drives that prevent you from running Autotrans properly. Btw, what
Firefox version are you running? While you're at it, consider doing a
clean Firefox install as well (install the latest version).
