Hello,

Songs with set conditions in Autoplaylist tab test list do not much with what ends up in the Play Music playlist.

I wanted to weed out songs from my library that's why I am looking for thumb set to none (up stays and down end up deleted manually later). And also not to repeat songs I missed.
It seemed to work fine when Play Music playlist was at a 1000 song limit. Now test list shows 516 matching songs, and playlist in Play Music has 0.
WHen I remove "last played" condition I end up with 1 song out of 568 in the test list.

Hm, sorry it's not working! Google's apis have seemed flakier recently, but usually that only manifests as a couple of songs missing, not an entire playlist.

Can you check your logs with the instructions at https://github.com/simon-weber/Autoplaylists-for-Google-Music/wiki/Debugging#viewing-your-logs and see if there are any errors or warnings? That should help us narrow down what's going wrong.

There are warnings and no errors. ("I've never debugged anything for Chrome so I don't know what I am looking at or doing)

Cool; thanks. Unfortunately, that doesn't tell us too much by itself.

Let's try something else, looking at your library instead:
  • reload the extension (instructions at https://github.com/simon-weber/Autoplaylists-for-Google-Music/wiki/Debugging#reloading-the-extension)
  • open a new Google Music tab
  • enter chrome-extension://blbompphddfibggfmmfcgjjoadebinem/html/debug.html in the url bar and hit enter. You should see a "Debugging Tools" page.
  • click "run" -- this may take a little bit, and you may need to click through a popup that says something like "unknown field"
  • you should now see a list of all your songs. click "CSV" in the top left and download the file.
  • send that file to me (a direct email is fine)
Also, can you test the playlist without "last played" again and include the title/artist for any tracks that successfully end up in Google's playlist? Hopefully it's the same one as before.

I'll try to compare the good track's information to the others. Hopefully there's something different about it that I can use to replicate the problem with my library.

I've also got plans to switch how the extension communicates to Google, since their web api has been mysteriously flaky.

These songs came from my iPod since I bought first one years ago, but then I dumped my whole iTunes library to Play. Some tags (song name, artist, album...) are messed up and have weird characters from foreign languages. Sometimes they show right letter in library or phone, sometimes it is like random odd character.

I deleted Autoplaylist and made a new one for A and B version. I labeled 3 screenshots with A that go together, and another set B with your changes.

In A when autoplaylist is set to show songs with tumbs set to none it adds song with thumb Up in Play on top of missing songs (if autoplaylist is correct when testing playlist there). When viewing A in Autoplaylist test all the songs say under "rating thumb - none" and I went thru 63 pages to make sure.

I spent a while looking into this, but I wasn't able to replicate any of these problems =( I was hoping there'd be a pattern with nullable data or strange string encodings.
