If so I'll look at something else like InstallJammer instead.
Gang, the current Ubuntu deb install framework is inadequate in that, while user-friendly like Autopackage, it does not allow installation as User.
So please keep up the Autopackage project!!

It's not dead. I will try to improve the site next month (sorry very
busy right now).
The reason for group spam not being sorted out is that Google Mail's
spam filter sorts these message out and therefore I don't notice them.
I am going to clean up right now.
@Mike:
Could you have a look at http://trac.autopackage.org/ and try to find
out why it's not working?

Yes, same for me. I was directing that question at Mike Hearn, because
he has root access on that server AFAIK.
Lighttpd follows the usual open source webserver credo of logging
absolutely nothing useful at all, so I'm not sure how to fix this
short of just guessing what the issue might be.
I've already tried everything I could think of.. I know that the
request is received by lighttpd so the DNS record is pointing to the
correct site at least
My belief is that it's something with the trac cgi, although it does
work when i run it from the command shell (i.e. running the cgi-binary
from ssh, even as the www-data user yields correct output)
I've tried changing permissions on many of the folders in the trac
environment but without difference.. I'm out of ideas basically :(

Easier for you, sure :)
Seems like nobody has any clue what's wrong with the current setup, so
if you want to upgrade it to your own stuff then go right ahead. I
don't think it'll get fixed any othe rway.
