Hello autopack team,

Firstly, let me say great job on the plugin. It is an interesting tool. I have run into a few issues in the blender version though and was hoping you could help me out

I am currently trying to pack a cube with discs as shown in fig. a. I can achieve this through procedure followed shown below. However I can only achieve this using Cinema 4D; the same procedure on blender throws an error as shown in fig. b on step 5. I am not sure where the issue lies and was hoping for some clarification. I am using blender v2.78c alongside the recommended upy-Blender2.78-win-64.zip in python version 3.5.

Step 1: Create a custom recipe

Step 2: create a cube inside the compartments_geometries

Step 3: SetupCompartments in Recipe setup dialog box

Step 4:  Create disk and place it under the Cube_interior

Step 5: SetupPacking in Recipe setup dialog box

Step 6: PACK in Recipe Filler v1.0

Looking forward to your reply. Thanks for the support

Regards,

FSDB

Hi,
The custom recipe system is not working completely in blender compared to Cinema4D. I should start to work (in a week or two) on an update for supporting blender2.8 so I will try to fix this issue at the same time. In the meantime you could try to create a recipe in C4D using spheres that would represent the cylinder this would insure a better collision detection ( faster actually ). Save the recipe and open it in Blender.

I will try to keep you posted.
