Hi All,

Robotics Hackathon this Friday, 11/11/11 - Nerd New Year celebration and recession beer bash.

It will be a huge street party that will raise funds for 11 local charities, and it's a joint effort between 106 Miles and Hackers & Founders; 11/11/11 is a once-in-a-lifetime-date, with nerdy binary implications:)

In addition to hackathon, there will be local gourmet food from downtown Redwood City restaurants, and beer and wine will be flowing.

A ginormous count-down clock that the makers out of TechShop are creating

Flaming sculptures that the artists will trek in

A shark tank from the Marine Science Institute

A fire engine

A kitten petting zoo

Face painters

Magicians

Various musical acts rotating throughout the day

A raffle with great prizes, including a signed bat by the Giants' Pat Burrell and jersey autographed by Jonathan Sanchez; hockey pucks signed by the San Jose Sharks

And much more.
