Location: Remote for now, But Needed local to HDQ-Dc Metro, VA when required to be there on-site

Job Description: 

The Performance Tester (Mission Data) role is responsible for establishing and driving a performance testing strategy for data ingestion (batch, near-real time, data hubs, analytics warehouse, master data management, and data sharing). 

 

Responsibilities: 

• Establish a performance test strategy for data ingestion – batch and near real time, data hubs, analytical warehouse, master data management and data sharing 
• Designing and Executing Performance tests 
• Create performance technical design, test plan and identify key metrics 
• Generating synthetic data for conducting performance tests 
• Execute performance tests, diagnose, and capture key metrics 
• Monitor performance metrics and continuously refine performance engineering test cases 
• Recognize potential issues and risks during the project implementation and suggest mitigation strategies 
• Work directly with key leaders to understand data requirements; propose and develop test plan and test cases that enable effective performance testing across the data lake, data hub and analytical data warehouse 
• Perform other duties as assigned 
• Hands on data service/programming languages experience: 
• Scripting: PowerShell, Windows batch scripting, etc. 
• Performance Monitoring tools: Application insights, etc. 
• Azure Data Lake
