Since the Android Market isn't the only way I sell my app, will there
be support for those users? If not, then I presume they will need a
version without the check which basically means there is a version of
my app out there waiting to be pirated. What app versions I give away
for free? I have a list of people who I've gifted my app. Can their
copy be verified. Finally, my app is for root users only. Will these
users be able to circumvent the check? It sounds good but if it costs
too much then is rather lose the money to pirates. At least there's no
up-front cost for that.

Right now, AAL only supports straight-up Android Market. Generally
for "gifting" scenarios, I've asked users to purchase the app, and
then refunded them when warranted. At some point, as AAL gains
traction, I have the following features planned:

- AAL server. This will allow custom license grants as well as
version deprecation, stack trace retrieval, etc.
- integration with other purchase validation schemes. The AAL server
will actually be an example of this for custom license grants.
