Hello there,

I was wondering if it is possible to use the campaign content
dimension to split a report. We use this extensively to specify which
email blast or media piece is driving traffic.

Thanks!

You can get this value by using the "Ad content" dimension, under AdWords in the "Split by" dropdown menu. This contains the value of the utm_content parameter of the campaign URL. We will make this easier to find in a future update by placing this dimensions also under Traffic Source, where the Campaign dimensions is.

Hi,

When trying to use "ad content" I get the following error:
Query failed: Incompatible fields: 400 Selected dimensions and metrics cannot be queried together. ga:TransactionID, ga:Source, ga:Medium, ga:Campaign, ga:adContent, ga:TransactionRevenue IllegalDimensionMetricCombinationException

The query is fine until I add the "ad Content" metric as another column

Hi,

these restrictions are coming from AdWords API. You cannot use certain metrics with certain split-by options at the same query.
