I'm using SM with Google Sheets and want to connect a MySQL database but am concerned about exposing the data to unwanted 3rd parties via an unencrypted connection. My question: are supermetrics' connections to MySQL databases secured / encrypted? If not, how can we set up a connection that is?

Google JDBC connector that we use didn't use to allow encryption, so we don't have that option available. Apparently, Google has added support for SSL this year, so we will add that to our add-on as well at some point.

Do you have an estimated timeline for implementing SSL into Supermetrics? From your previous message it sounds like Google has made this available and now Supermetrics just needs to build it into your software, is that correct?

We have now added support for SSL encrypted database connections. You can add the certificate when making the connection.
