Hi,

Would like to know how to refresh the Google Calendar after getting the [Calendar Event Query] block.

Thanks in advance.

Depends on what you mean by "refresh", and "Google Calendar".
To make the device reload it's data from the Google servers, then try using the Account sync request block.
To force the screen to refresh in the Google Calendar app, then try using the Interact or Interact touch block to simulate the clicks to do so.

Hi Henrik,

Would like to check, the Account Sync Request Block will be getting the updated Google calendar details (location, description) right even if there is amendment? Amendment to the Google Calendar are done much earlier than the event timing.

I had tried Account Sync Request Block, doesn't seems to work at times.
Though I sometimes manually refresh in the Google Calendar app (before the event timing), the Automate is also still not getting the updated Calendar information (location, description).

Any idea what could be the reason for this and and how to resolve this?

Does the Account Sync Request Block will also update the Google Calendar App itself too?

Would also like to check, in the event certain flows fails due to no network signal, how to 're-activate' back to continue the steps till network signal is back?

Thanks.

For the Google Calendar, managed to resolve, it seems. It was the auto-sync not turned on. After turning it on, the updates to the Google Calendar is captured. Just that there is still a minimum amount of time required for the sync to complete. As such, no "late" updates to the Google Calendar. If there are late updates to the Google Calendar, would need to quickly manually sync it.

When the auto-sync is not turned on, the Account Sync Request is unable to "refresh" the Google Calendar, even after I had manually update. because still still to ensure the Android Calendar is updated too (per my trial and observation, seems to be this case).

Found it is the Cell Signal Strength and Mobile Service State block that can be used to detect, and then do the necessary to proceed accordingly with the decision block.

  1. The Account request sync block is the only way regular app can control such things.
  2. It's likely the Google Calendar app that doing the actual sync:ing, so yes, the Account request sync block will likely update it as well.
  3. Use the Failure catch block to handle a failure.
