Help I can only show toast in Automate but not in any other apps!

Make sure you haven't disabled notifications for Automate in the system Apps settings.

I have already allow Automate to show notifications. Do you have any other solutions?

By the way, the notification is showing normally, but the toast is not.

Very odd. Make sure the message actually contains some text.
Please use the Help & feedback menu to send me a system log, after you've tries to use the Toast show block, maybe i can see an error message in it.

The system log shows the Toast is working normally without error messages T_T

If the message is empty, no toast will be displayed.

If it still doesn't work, there's little i can do. Showing a toast is just a single function call, so it can't be an Automate bug.

If you've got an Marshmallow device, make sure you haven't enabled any interruptions (do not disturb) mode.

I have the same issue. I have tried several fibers that show toast messages, but they do not show them. Then I've built a simple fiber that shows a toast (with text) for testing. The toast is shown normally when the fiber is launched from within Automate, but if I create a widget on the home screen and launch it from there, it is not displayed. The notifications are enabled and work as expected.

Please help.

Same problem here. Toasts are shown when automate is open, but not on the homescreen, when automate runs in background. Permission are set correct... Using Honor 9 with stock 7.0 and emui 5.1

I've got the same problem with the online notification toasts in GBWhatsApp... they are only shown if GBWhatsApp is in foreground. I even can hear the notification sound and if I switch to GBWhatsApp fast enough the toast is even shown. I think that's the same problem. Can you may expain how you fixed it so I can give the information to the developer of GBWhatsApp?!

Sadly I still don't know if the fix i implemented resolved the issue.

On a possibly related note...

I myself encountered a bug with the Show Notification block. It simply showed no notification, sound, vibration, nada.

When I tried the included Flashlight flow, the notification block does trigger a notification. When I proceeded to copy the block into my own flow, I found that that worked.

I tested explicitly making my own Show Notification block and copied exactly everything from the copied Flashlight-flow block. The same problem persists. The block I created refuses to work whilst the copied block does.

Go figure.
