Hi

Pixel 2, Android 9. Rooted with Magisk, not running permissive.

I have a flow that sends my location every 20 minutes via SMS when I'm on my way home (2 - 3 hour commute).
The first proper test failed because I forgot to change the SMS limit (idiot).
The next proper test failed with "java.io.ioexception: grpc failed" I'm not positive what caused this error but I think I may have got through an area without network coverage and the SMS couldn't be sent - any idea if this is the case and suggestions on how to avoid the failure, maybe checking is network is connected?

Thanks.

If it's the Geocoder (reverse) block that's causing the "grpc failed", then it's likely an connectivity issue, or Android bug:

Use the Failure catch block to handle the error state.

Thank you. Yes, I think it's the Geocoder block, and does tie-in with lack of connectivity, the route I took does have a loss of signal along the way.

To avoid this I think I should check for connectivity first. Any suggestions on the best what to do this? Network type "None"  with a loop until "No" or When Network Connected "When changed" ?

Thanks.

Hi,
I am also facing the issue  "java.io.IOException: grpc failed" in my Nokia 6.1 (OS version Android 10).
Please suggest me.

Try rebooting the device. To avoid it recurring, try using the Network connected block to ensure there internet connectivity.
