Sms send not working, possibly due to subscription id

Hi,

I can't send sms messages through Automate.

I think the issue is the subscription id value. In the drop-down menu to select the subscription id there's an assigned subscription but if I tap the fx button the field is empty (screenshots).

I have also tried to get the subscription id value by using the "Picked subscription id" output variable in the "Subscription pick?" block but it just evaluates to Null.

The default SIM is used if the Subscription id field is empty/null, so it should work regardless.

Any error message, or it just doesn't get delivered?
Android version?

Android version 4.4.2
No error messages. Just a "Warn" when "sending" the sms. But it isn't delivered.

It still seems a bit odd that no value is returned for the subscription id with the subscription pick block. I mean, what if I had a second SIM?

I've tried to send a sms with other automation app and it is working.

Looks similar to this other bug (https://groups.google.com/d/topic/automate-user/8gyfmMvPYDY/discussion) only without an actual error.

Android 4 doesn't support subscriptions that's why there's no value.
Sadly the bug is still a mystery. Try using the MMS send block.
