Hi,

I see that version 1.49.0 got this update;
  • Sound level block got Audio device input argument (Android 6+)
I have 2 android phone installations that were working fine 7 days ago (12/10/2025), but now after update to Automate 1.49.1 both get the error below when trying to detect sound with the Sound Level block.

Have tried restarting = no change.

ERROR; Illegal Argument Exception, No Audio Device Found -1

Is this a known issue that will soon be resolved?

Any help or insight you can offer is appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for reporting. A bug indeed. I'll fix, until then click the fx button on the Audio device field and write in 0 (zero) manually.

Awesome, it's working as it should after that adjustment.

Will I need to remove that FX entry after the update?

Thank you for the quick solution. Much appreciated.

Yes. Once the issue is fixed you'd need to remove the workaround.
An update is unlikely this year.
