How can I show a picture with the default gallery app and wait till the user has closed the app? I know I need a App Decision block, but I'm not proficient with activity blocks.

Besides, can I use a filepath as content URI? If I can't, then how I can make the conversion?

It depends on the gallery app. Try...
Action: View
MIME-Type: image/jpg
Extras: { "android.intent.extra.STREAM" as Uri: "file://"++ pathToImage }

the above comment, i used Samsung a34 5g.
i've noticed in my Samsung note8 (android 9), Capture Image block stops after I exit the camera app.

Use the  Media store add block.

Ensure to click the OK button or alike, not simply switch back to Automate.
If it still doesn't work then the Camera app doesn't follow the specification, try another installing another camera app.
