to Automate for Android
Hi all,

I need a little help.
Recently my Fairphone 4 was updated to Android 15. And after that update I can´t open Automate anymore. When I try, very briefly the screen shows a smartphone symbol with an exclamation mark on a black background:

I managed to make a screenshot, because the symbol stays longer when I try to access Automate via a widget.

I tried uninstalling and installing again and even gave every permission in the App settings.
My pone is not rooted and I don´t intend to do that.

So, has anybody an idea what could be wrong and how to fix that? Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,
Wolfgang

Due to an Android 15 bug all the obsolete "Automate [...] permission extension" apps MUST be uninstalled, do so in system Settings, App, See all apps, app, Uninstall. See also: https://llamalab.com/automate/doc/extensions.html#obsolete

Hi Henrik,

many thanks for the advice.
To be honest: I came across the installation page, but didn´t really understand it.
And it took me almost an hour to get the extension installed. A more simple walk-through description might have been helpful for a non-IT person like me.

But now everything is running and I hope I don´t have to fiddle with these things again soon...

Many, many thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Best regards,
Wolfgang
