Trying to save 'App shortcut start' block fails with 'Failed to write flow'

App Version: 1.50.0

As stated in the subject, when trying to save a 'App shortcut start' block it fails an changes cannot be saved and a 'Failed to write flow' toast is displayed.
Existing blocks work as intended, but it is impossible to edit them or create new ones.

Stack trace attached.

Workaround: Use the 'App start' block, then use the 'Pick Shortcut' option.

Devices affected:

• Pixel 10, Android 16, 5 Feb. 2026 update
• Pixel 6, Android 16, 5 Dec. 2025 update

Remove any App shortcut start block, or pick its shortcut again. Or as you say, replace it with an App start block instead.
