Now.. isn't in seconds!

Now.. when I use the Now feature, instead of seconds,I get something like this: 1.766884971102E9

If I multiply that by 1000 I get a 13 digit timestamp.

What's happening? The documents clearly say it is in seconds since the UNIX epoch!

It is returned as seconds. Only, due to magnitude, when output,
scientific or engineering number format is used to display it. But it's
still the same number, only presented differently.

You can force a number format, using function numberFormat. Such as in:
numberFormat(Now,0)
