Scanning NFC tag in Android 8.1 asks me to "Choose an Action:  New tag collected or NFC tag scanned (automate icon shown next to this one)" .  How can I keep this popup from showing up and always use Automate for this (and probably all) NFC tag?

Unrelated, what are the different volume levels in Automate?  It allows me to enter a decimal value, but I could not find the range on the wiki.  I'm guessing 0 - 10 with 0 beings the quietest and 10 being the loudest?

Thanks

Try disabling the system Tags app, in system apps settings.
Ensure to write the tag with Automate, then they should be opened with it by default.

The volume range is 0 to 100%.

Thanks for the answers.  I'm new to NFC.  I purchased some NFC tag stickers.  I'm wanting to use a tag at work to automate something.  I need to somehow write something to NFC using Automate?

Is there a tutorial somewhere I might look at?  Thanks

In the NFC tag scanned block use the "Write tag" button to format/write a tag with whatever data you need.

Sorry to be so dense, but can you walk me through, or point me to a tutorial, on how to do this?  Somehow I need to tell Automate that when it sees this particular tag to then make a web request.  I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the tag information so that it only acts on this particular tag.  Thanks again!

In a Tag scanned block click the "Write tag" button, swipe the phone over the tag to format/write it for Automate usage.
Once written, use the Tag read button, again swipt the phone over the tag to read it, click a read tag top copy it's ID, paste it in the Tag ID field in the tag scanned block.
