Unable to set Wi-Fi state, what is workaround?

Hi.  After recent updates to Android on my Samsung devices (running Android 11) I am no longer able to set Wi-Fi state.  The log says: "java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: setWiFiEnabled workaround".  Can anyone tell me what the workaround is and how I enable it.

This is very annoying as several threads that have worked well for a long time have suddenly started to fail.  I wonder why Android no longer supports this.

It should be working on Android 11, are you sure you're not using Android 12?

The next release will include a new workaround to work with Android 12.

You are right the device with the issue is Android 12, my mistake.

Roughly when might you expect to release the workaround?

I have found the same issue - WiFi, NFC, etc. - now solved via Bixby routine, so Bixby and Automate are running paralell covering different tasks ...

... at least for now within current Android 12 restrictions

New workaround for Wi-fi set state block will also be in the next release.

What's the issue with the NFC set state block? Any error message?

It requires SuperUser and rooted device - I do not have that, and never will ...

In the release version of Automate the Wi-Fi set state workaround should work on Android 11.

On Android 12 the Alpha version has a new workaround that should work on Android 12+, opt-in at:

Thanks Henrik. I downloaded the update after signing up on the link you provided, I rebooted, but the flows still don't update the wifi state. Is there a different block i should use?

You can also use the Shell command superuser block to execute: svc wifi disable

But that will require a rooted device.

Just to let you know that version 1.32.4 which arrived yesterday (27 Jan 2022) seems to have successfully solved the problem.
