Hi,

trying to execute a fork block, the fiber fails with a red log entry like "FAIL xy@##: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Parallel launch not allowed".

I'm running Automate on a Samsung GT I-9305 with Android 4.4.4 stock ROM unrooted.

Regards!

Please use the Help & feedback menu to send me an error log, then i can see where and what's failing.

How does the flow look like around the Fork block? What's the NEW dot connected to?

The "Parallel launch not allowed" should only be possible when manually starting a flow or with the Flow start block, and not with the Fork block.

Try enabling the "Allow parallel launches from this block" option in the Flow beginning block.

I'm terribly sorry, that – though trying to be precise – I confused a /fork/ with a /start_flow/ block. I use a /start_flow/ block in one flow, starting a different flow (using its uri). If I enable "allow parallel launches from this block" on the target flow, that does not avoid the mentioned error (it indeed allows for multiple manual launches of that target flow, though, without error – which I want to avoid, anyway). ("Allow parallel launches" is enabled in the source flow, btw.)

Thanks for your efforts.

So you get the error even tho you've enabled the "Allow multiple launches" in the Flow beginning block of the flow you're trying to start?
I'll investigate.

Right, exactly.

I had the same problem: after a reboot, I could not start the flow with the error "Parallel launch not allowed", despite not being started yet.
I solved this problem when I fake edited this flow - opened it and moved one block a little.
After that it started successfully without errors/
