to Automate
Hey!

I'm back with another 'complicated' question haha. Anyways, so I want to use Automate to send messages on the WhatsApp or Messenger or even telegram via Automate. I do not want to make use of "interact" block because I want it to be done via screen locked also, and that interaction is just useless there.

I saw this plugin by Joao (Tasker Developer now). It's called "Touchless Chats". That actually works and somehow sends messages to popular IM apps without any interaction needed (its just like the SMS Send block in Automate, it happens in background). Unfortunately that plugin isn't working with Android 5 or above (for me at least) so I cant use it.

So what's a way I can do it with Automate? I thought of using Intents but like the WhatsApp Intent still required me to hit the send button which defeats the purpose. I did however see this online thread and a Tasker Script by this guy; CLICK ME! I tried this script and it works like a charm. This is a Calling Script btw, so like with this, a WhatsApp call is initiated with screen off or on, and in the background. I tried finding something like this that sends messages and not video calls, but no luck. (I only gave this link to you if you need it for some ideas or help maybe).

Anyways, so can I even achieve something like this or not possible?

Thank you.

WhatsApp don't have a public API so using the App start block is the only option, which likely will involve simulating a click somewhere.
Others have made flows to automate WhatsApp, look at how they did it:
