Try:
  1. Flow beginning
  2. App in foreground: Package=com.waze
  3. App start: Package=com.autolauncher.motorcar.free, Flags=Launch adjacent

Hi. @Henrik: this does not seem to work in Android 15. Any hint of what I should do to automate opening Waze and another app in split screen on my Pixel 7 w/ Android 15?

Another - somewhat related - question is the following. Android 15 allows to create shortcuts on the home screen that run "pairs" of apps that run concurrently in split-screen mode. Is there a way to start such a pair from Automate?

Thanks.

Google broke split-screen in Android 13, not 15.
For what i know, there's currently no way to start an app in split-screen.
The "Launch adjacent" flag, in the App start block, likely never worked since it only seem to do so since when supplying multiple intents, which the block doesn't support.
Some way to supply multiple intents at once is a feature on the to-do list.

Try the "split screen Google maps/Deezer" flow from the Community/Transportation section, and adopt it to your liking. I tried it on my car's head unit, it works fine but the "acces screen content" privilege on my device is revoked at every start up. Maybe you are luckier.

Thanks you both for your replies. I did try the "split screen Google
maps/Deezer" (as well as a few others) and, unfortunately, the screen
does not split :-(

A solution could be to have a block that starts a shortcut pinned on the
home screen (created as a pair on Android 15, or via the "Be Nice" app),
but I don't know how to do that.

Suggestions are welcome! Thanks.
