Hi,

I just started using automate. I'm really not an expert, but it seems intuitive enough for me and i'm having a lot of fun creating flows !

Since it supports tasker plugins, i tried to use the one called On Time - Dynamic Smart Widget (link :https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=iamsupratim.com.ontime)

My idea was to have the dynamic tasker widget of the app (not the one based on time of the day) to create an app launcher based on my location (work / home / going out and so on)

I used the following blocks : "is at location" and "plugin action", but it didn't work... in fact, just using the "plugin action" block alone does nothing for this plugin.

Did I miss something ? Or maybe it doesn't work with automate, or at all ? (I don't have tasker to try to troubleshoot it).

Can someone help me ?

Thanks in advance !

Please try a simple test flow with only a single Plug-in action block to see if its actually does whats is purposed to do, ruling out any other issue.

Yeah i tried it, that's what i meant by using the plugin action block alone, unfortunately it doesn't work even whithout anything else in the flow.

Just to update, i tried the plugin with tasker trial, and it's working as intended, so i suppose it's simply not compatible with automate :(

That is a possibility, but rare, unless it's been hard coded to only respond to "command" issued by Tasker.
Does the Plug-in action block report any error, or does the plug-in simply not perform the action?

Just tested, the plug-in does seem to do anything.

Yeah, nothing happen, despite automate seeing the plugin, the config i made in it, and reporting the block action in the log. Weird.

I ran into the same thing. It works with Tasker but not Automate. That kind of stinks because Automate has better flow control than Automate. I'm now using both Tasker and Automate as a result.

I am having the same issue and came across this thread. I guess it still isn't compatible. Disappointing.
