I looked into the ~/.config/autokey/autokey.json, they don't seem to be there.

Thank you.

By default, they're in directories under $HOME/.config/autokey/data/ .

But, when you create a new directory using the main AutoKey window, you
can specify any path you want for it.

I put my scripts in $HOME/autokey_scripts so they're easy to manage and
won't get touched if I uninstall/purge AutoKey.

Note:
If you backup or move any phrases or scripts, you need to be aware that
they come in pairs:
my_script.py and .my_script.json for scripts
my_phrase.txt and .my_phrase.json for phrases.

Since the json files are hidden (names start with a dot), you have to
take care that whatever method you use to copy or move them gets these
hidden files too.
