Vehicle Test Responsible ( Programme Manager): Roles and Responsibilities
1. 1.Co-ordinate with VIR and ITPM for testing. Administrative work (test planning, resource utilization) for prototype shop & vehicle testing workshop. Over all responsible for test activities.
2. 2.Test Planning and vehicle preparation as per OEM Norme. Also should able to analyse and justify test results in case of negative outcome. Should be able provide feedback report to SIR/VIR.
3. 3.Identify, selection & procurement of Instruments/Equipment required for vehicle & prototype testing.
4. 4.Support to homologation for preparation of vehicles for testing at ARAI,VRDE for certification. Should able to handle certification activity with ARAI/ATS independently.
5. 5.Internal interaction with Different departments like Quality, after sales, manufacturing and technology, Engineering etc
6. 6.Responsible for Quality improvement related to manufacturing issues
7. 7.Preparation of press/media cars
Educational Qualification : B.E/ Equivalent (Mechanical / Automobile)
Experience: 10 – 15 Years in testing of full vehicles, Approx. salary-15 to 25 Lakhs
Added Advantage: Experience aboard (like US, Europe etc.) in field of vehicle testing for 4 – 5 years.
Vehicle Test Engineers: Roles and responsibilities
1. Vehicle Testing - Planning , Execution and validation testing (As per domain) like durability, NVH, vehicle dynamics, fuel economy, HVAC etc.
2. Co-ordination with Attribute leads for understanding of the DVP&R
3. Field Issue resolution in co-ordination with Attribute leads
4. Data acquisition, filtering, analysing and correlation
5. Benchmarking related testing of competitors vehicle, benchmarking report
6. Support to homologation activities in case of vehicle preparation, component testing etc.
7. Interaction with External agencies like VRDE,ARAI,etc
8. Internal interaction with Different departments like Quality, after sales, Engineering etc
9. Preparation of media, press cars.
Educational Qualification : B.E. (Mechanical / Automobile)
Experience: 5 – 7 Years in testing of full vehicles—Approx. Salary 10 to 15 Lacs.
