Hi All

Is it possible to save a Class in the display manager to an sdf or dwg file.
Or alternativly is it possible to save a layer within the data manager
to either an sdf or dwg file.
If these are possible can someone let me know the procedure or where to
find the information in the users guide/help files.

Thanks
Garry

Garry,

the answer is no, a class cannot be saved as SDF or DWG format. Both programs,
Map and MapGuide use their own way of assigning display properties to objects.
To save objects in dwg format, select all objects to be 'converted'. Activate
the Geobase menu and select Define > Entities from Features. One or more new
layers will be created and display in display manager. Now, go to Data Manager >
Data Sources > Drawing tab. Select the drawing to be saved, do a right mouse
click and Save as....
Look at 'Save as' in World's help file to find more information on that. For SDF
format look for 'Export a drawing to SDF' and 'Export data set to SDF'.
