"SHF.EXE" error on workcenter server

I'm getting this error displayed from dr. watson and I'm to the point of re-installing Workcenter.. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

The error message comes from "Dr. Watson" it states that SHF.EXE Exception access violation (binary code) Adress(binary code)

What is the configuration of your Workcenter server?
I sounds like SHF.EXE and an NT library crashes each other. Have you tried
to apply the correspondant Service Pack just in case of any DLL with
different version?.

We think that the problem resides in the storage manager, it crashes right after the error comes up so we are going to re-install the storage manager from scratch.

Using mzsetup.exe you can restore a Storage Manager (option 7).
