I came accross this error one time. I could solve it but i don't remember
now what the situation was. I promise to post if something reminds me of.

Ted,
We have seen this happen when a user account becomes corrupt. I would create
another user account for you, using a slightly different name. Setup your
access rights the same as your old user name. Login as this user and import a
document. See if the other users can copy out this file successfully. If so,
I would either delete or disable your old account and use the new one.

Ted,

If Debbies suggestion does not work then it could be that his NT profile has
become corrupt.
You may wish to try replacing the users profile with one that you know is
working.

Debbie,

You're a genius. Your suggestion did the trick. Now is there a way to
transfer ownership of all the documents from the old user account to the new
user account so they're accessible to everybody?

Thanks!

Ted,
If you created all access rights using groups then there should not be any
problems with other users accessing the documents. The only issue would be that
the new user account does not have owner rights to the documents that he added.
To give owner rights at the user level to the new user, do the following:
Login as admin.
Do a search to bring up all documents you need to change access rights to.
Highlight all documents.
Go to the Info pull-down menu and select Access List.
On the Users tab choose the user name you want to be owner and select Owner.
This will change the access list for all documents selected.
You may have to get creative to search and come up with the correct list of
documents to change. Also, the number of documents you can change at any one
time varies from machine to machine.
Good luck!
