I have been sent floorplans for my fathers new house in a .wmf format and Planix can't import the file or open it. Is there any way to convert a .wmf file to a .hom file? I need to be able to work on the plans so I can add a room for my step-mother's medical treatment equipment as they don't want to have it in any of the bedrooms, a place where she can go for treatment that won't be used for anything else. If there is any way todo this I would like to know. Thank-you in advance for any help you can offer.
Lionel,
The floor plans you are receiving are Windows Metafile Format (.WMF),
this is a raster image and our program won't edit the image itself.
In order to import the file it would need to be saved as a .bmp (Windows
Bitmap), or .jpg (JPEG compression), then the program will import the picture,
but it will still be a raster image and not editable. You would need
a third-party program capable of raster to vector conversion in order to
be able to edit the image. What I would recommend is saving the .wmf
as a .bmp or a .jpg, importing it into planix, then using that as a guide
to draw your new floorplan.
Thanks,
