I purchased Autodesk Planix Deck Design from my local Menard's Homecenter store.
Thinking that it had a little more sophistication than it doesn't; e.g. it doesn't produce
drawings with actual measurements etc. Totally worthless to take to our local
city building inspector to secure a building permit. What a fraud.

To make matters worse ... Menard's won't give me a refund because the software
was opened.

On Monday I am contacting the Wisconsin State Attorney General's office and file
a formal complaint.

I can see why you don't offer support on this product. I think it's so poorly written
no one can provide support. And one other thing, I work for a major university who
buys alot of software and guess what you're not going to be on this list.

What a fraud. (I can't even register this software!)

Gary,

I am sorry that you feel this way about Autodesk Planix Deck Design. As for your first
concern about Deck, that being it doesn't produce drawings with actual
measurements, the program does have this feature. It is on the annotations tab (left side of
screen) and select dimensioning. This will allow you to dimension the
items you want to dimension. As for Menard's not taking the software back, we cannot control
resellers, but Autodesk does have a 60-day money back guaranty.
So if you have bought it within the past 60 days feel free to call our customer service
department at 1-800-538-6401 for a refund. As for supporting the product,
we do have phone support at 1-816-891-8418, we also, have this discussion group for anyone to
post technical or how to questions.
