Acad.exe - Entry Point Not Found

Hey everybody,

On entering Mechanical Desktop, I get several error messages, and I am not
sure if they are related, or separate problems.

The first message appears immediately after the grefad.arx file is loaded.
The title is "acad.exe - Entry Point Not Found" and the text states "The
procedure entry point
?set@AcBrEntity@@QAE?AW4ErrorStatus@AcBr@@PAVAcBrBrepData@@@Z could not be
located in the dynamic link library libacbr.dll."

If I "OK" past that message, I get a "Proxy Information" message that tells
me that I have 1 proxy object because I am missing the following
application: "AD_GREF_SERVICES_NSTR"

Lastly, the render application starts along with Desktop for no apparent
reason. After I get past the messages, Desktop seems to work fine, although
I haven't worked a lot with it to test it out.

I am running Desktop 2.0 with AutoCAD 14.01, both running from a Novell 4.1
Server with NT clients. The clients that are receiving these messages are
Pentium-II - 300 MHZ machines. One has 64 MB RAM, the other has 128 MB.

If anyone can help me with some or all of these problems, I would really
appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Tim Quinn

Tim,
I will tackle the easy one and do some research on the other problems. In
regards to the render window coming up:
In AV3DVARS if the apply materials box is checked this uses render,
therefore causing the render window to load. To resolve this problem uncheck
apply materials in the AV3DVARS dialog box.

Are the other errors happening on all workstations?
Are you running SP 3 of NT 4?
Did this just start happening, or is this a new install?
Do any MDT command work?

Ed,

Thank you very much for the help. In answer to your questions, this is not
a new install, and the problem with the "entry point not found" just started
happening. The proxy problem has been happening since the initial install.
The errors are not happening on all workstations, but they are happening on
all (both) of our NT 4 workstations (The others are Win95). Both stations
are running SP3. After getting by both error messages, MDT commands seem to
work fine.

Thanks again,

Tim Quinn
