How to save an IGES from MDT?

Hello Everyone,
I have a customer using MDT (says her version is 2002?). She does not
know how to export an IGES file from her system. Does anyone know if
a translator was neccesary in any versions of MDT in order to export
IGES? Can anyone explain the export steps so that I can walk her
through this.
