I am using MDT6 and a lot of times I could not save the file. Here is the message:

Unable to saveto dwg: xxx.dwg. Drawing saved to:sav6B867.ac$ (example).

Does anyone know how to solve this and educate me why it happens?

Thanks,

Al

Your directory might be right protected.

I've seen this here and there as well. Try doing a recover on the drawing,
as well as any xrefs attached to the drawing. Can't tell you why it happens,
it seems to be specific to certain files and the amrecover process has fixed
the problem for me.

Hi all,
Thanks for the comments. I had tried:
1. file recovery
2. save to a huge network drive

None of them works.
However, if I suppress some bend features I can save the file in normal way. Interesting...
I was wondering if the bend feature uses virtual memory a lot causing the problem.
Does anyone have any "good" experience with the bend feature?

Thanks,

Used selectively, yes I have several files with successful bend features
that don't cause me any trouble. Some of these are also used in large
assemblies without trouble.

You could be right though that it's related to the bend feature, do you have
sp4 installed? (type amver at command line and report here what that
returns)
