Can't select anything !

I am having a most frustrating problem. After I have selected something once, I cannot select it again using the selection window or quick select. I tried to select everything once, and it wouldn't select all the new lines and text I added to the drawing. Any idea what may be causing this?

One of the SP for map fixed it.What version are you running?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've been closing it & reopening it, and it is driving me nuts, it is impossible to get anything done.

I am running Land Desktop 2005. I installed Service Pack 1 way before this problem ever started.
