Hey, Does anyone out there know how to set the precision for
Northing/Easting labels? I have to keep going to Units and resetting the
precision to 00.00, but then whenever I try to label a north/east
coordinate, it reverts back to 00.0000. I only need to digits after the
decimal point. In help it says that northing and easting labels are not
dynamic and not based on current point label style. And as far as I can tell
are not based on any dimstyle either. It says they're based on the current
text style, but nowhere in there can I change the precision of the labels.
I'm sure I'm just missing something silly, but if anyone out there can help,
I would greatly, greatly, sincerely appreciate it.
Thank you

Hello Kimberly,
Create a Point Label style, select Northing and Easting (be sure and turn
off marker text). On the right side of the dialog box in the "Units" box,
click "Linear" and set your precision there.
Make sure you open Labels Settings and make that style you created your
"current style".
Hope this helps.

Hi Kimberley,

In general LDD constantly overwrites settings made with the AutoCAD units
command with the settings under the Units tab, in the Drawing Setup dialog
box.

Hence using the AutoCAD Units command with LDD in nothing but a frustrating
source of confusion and inconsistency.

You'd be best to forget how to spell "Units".

The setting that controls the precision for northing/easting labels and any
other coordinate display in LDD is in the drawing settings on the project
pulldown. Click on the units tab and change the coordinate precision to what
you want.

Thank you so much to Andy, Laurie and Tom for all of your help and advice.
Tom, yours was the one that was the ticket for me. No matter what any other
settings were set, that Projects / Drawing Settings controlled it all.
Thank you again, I really appreciate it.
