Our company has decided to use a layer naming standard where we place a 1,2,
or 3 before alpha characters. For example:

1Align

would be used for alignments.

Is there any way when using the layer properties manager or layer properties
from the toolbar to list the layers without this first character? I prefer
searching for layers by hitting the first letter of the of layername....and
skipping quickly to it, rather than scrollllllllling down a large list to
find the right layer.

Any help would sure be swell!

Hi Michael,

The DOS wildcard characters work quite well, so you should be able to do
things like

?Align. You may care to experiment with *, ? and # as wildcards - or read
the help files which will be better than my guesswork.

Is there a way to eliminate the first letter of the layer name displayed in
the layer properties manager?
