I have been running Autosketch 2.1 for over a year on Windows 95. I
upgraded to Windows 98 and everything is working ok.......but Autosketch
kept coming up with errors "to close" or "ignore" and the ignore didn't
work.

So I reloaded 2.1 from the CD and now it won't even come up on the screen.

What do I try next?

Thanks

AutoSketch Release 2.1 is not officially supported on Windows 98,
however here are a couple of suggestions:

Ensure the c2 patch is applied:

Follow the methods in the following document (still applicable to
Win98):

I am doing the exact same thing and AutoSketch seems to be running okay.

I have a problem in that when I try to print on my Canon BJC-4300, the
printing is so light that it is completely illegible. Just a dot shows up
here and there. Any help would be appreciated.

I have been experimenting with a BJ-230 on NT and also get faint prints.
The best results obtained were after increasing the entity line widths
from hairline to a filled width, changing the colour to white and
setting maximum intensity in the print driver.

Note
Extract from the AutoSketch 2.1 Readme.txt file:

3. Printer Drivers

You may encounter some problems with the following printers. Check to
see if your printer is listed below.
...
Canon BJ800 printer
-------------------
Prints text and hair-line width objects in gray. You can correct the
width problem by increasing the line width.
Additional problems may occur when filled objects are printed across
tiled pages and when printing in color.

As a longtime 2.1 user, I had this 'faint' printing problem long ago with
Canon printers (I've used several Canon models and they all seem to have
this problem).

The simplest solution that I have found is to change the color black (#7) to
another dark color such as #178. This workaround results in very nice
'black' printer output that appears black to the human eye.

Viva 2.1! (I still hate 6.0!)
